Nearly 50 years after the television series, Adam West today (5th April 2012) finally gets his recognition for his unique and classic portrayal of Batman during the 1960′s, with a spot on the world renowed Hollywood “Walk of Fame”.
Adam who is now 83 was awarded with the 2,468th star, he was joined by Family Guy producer Seth McFarlane and radio DJ Ralph Garman. Unfortunately his on-screen sidekick Robin played by Burt Ward could not make the event.
Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President Leron Gubler said; “We are thrilled to honor Adam with this prestigious award. Fans have been waiting for this special day for many years. Adam West fired up the billion dollar Batman franchise: the golden years and the classic Batman, the Bright Knight. He deserves his place of honour on our famed Walk of Fame.”
All I have to say is a massive congratulations to Adam West for a well deserved honour for which I am surprised he has not been awarded with before. You are a true TV icon, a true TV legend!

”Conscious Catwoman” was originally a downloadable e-book from Julie’s website a year or so ago. The book has recently been revamped into an actual book including brand new photo’s. You can pre-order a copy for $14.95 or if you want signed/personalised copy it will cost you $35.00. Also there is a shipping fee of $4.00. If you want the item personalised simply add a “note” in the PayPal checkout webpage. Adam, Burt and Yvonne all have books of there own (if you have not got them, then I seriously suggest you visit their websites and purchase a copy), now Julie has finally released her own accounts of her life.

Hello!
As you know Batman has taken a break due to the broadcasting of live cricket on ITV4. I am pleased to confirm they will continue the Batman run from Monday, however not daily as before because the cricket isn’t all over yet…
Monday 3.55-5.00pm will be the Puzzler episodes which will also be repeated between 9.50-10:50am Tuesday morning.
Then the cricket is being shown again Tuesday and Wednesday.
Thursday between 4-5.05pm will be the first two parts of the Zodiac Crimes which will also be repeated the following morning between 9.55-11.00am.
Friday afternoon the cricket will be on again. With the Indian Premier League finally drawing to a close, it looks like Batman will return daily to the ITV4 schedule soon.

Just a quick post today about the television premier of Batman Begins on ITV1 tomorrow night at 8.30pm. I know this is not classic Batman however this film does explain the story of the origins of Batman.
The film received top ratings when it was released back in 2005. I have to say this is actually my least favourite Batman film however the majority of crictics rave over it. Here is the film symopsis from the itv.com website:
“Action adventure reboot of the comic book story, telling the story of how Bruce Wayne came to be Batman. Having watched his parents murdered in front of him, the boy Wayne endures a stint in an Asian prison and is then trained in the martial arts. On his return to his native Gotham City, he takes on his own new persona to fight the city’s organised crime. With Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Katie Holmes, and Gary Oldman. (2005)”

Adam West as Batman in the 1966 television series
Info below from my Batman webpage:
Adam was born in Wala Wala Washington in 1928. He was actually born as William West Anderson but changed his name to the more dynamic Adam West in 1957. Before Adam landed in Hollywood he was a disc jockey in Hawaii and a radio presenter for the programe “The Kini Popo Show”. When Adam landed in Hollywood in 1957 he enjoyed fame in the show “The Detectives” just before he played Batman.
When Adam was asked to consider the role as Batman he replied; “are you serious, I am trying to have a serious career”. Nethertheless, he auditioned for the show, was filmed in the screen test and chosen for the role as Batman, which later became his signature role.
