Received my signed Adam West & Burt Ward photo today!

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

Hello all!

Today I received this signed photo which I had ordered from Adam West’s website:

Adam West & Burt Ward signed photo

I placed the order on the 24th October, was sent on the 28th, and got to me today (10th November). So considering it was sent from the US to the UK the delivery was pretty quick! As soon as I noticed the “Idaho Ketchum” stamp on the packaging I had to get it open as fast as possible!

I would recommend everyone buying off of the Adam West Store (http://shop.adamwest.com) as they post your item ASAP, with cheap delivery cost (only $5). The photo itself cost $55 (USD) which came to about £35 (GBP) which I think is reasonable for such a quality item which is surely going up on my bedroom wall xD  So basically im chuffed all round, so if you have any hesitations about ordering online from Adam’s website, I can assure you that the transaction is safe and a fantastic service is offered!

I am hoping to get Yvonne Craig’s autograph next to add to my collection, so will blog about her website service when I get to ordering it etc..

Thanks for visiting my website!!

Adam West’s Birthday

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

Heya!

Today (19th September), Adam West celebrates his 81st birthday. Bat-Mania UK wishes Adam a very happy birthday and hopes he has a great day!

Info below from my Batman webpage:

Adam was born in Wala Wala Washington in 1928. He was actually born as William West Anderson but changed his name to the more dynamic Adam West in 1957. Before Adam landed in Hollywood he was a disc jockey in Hawaii and a radio presenter for the programe “The Kini Popo Show”. When Adam landed in Hollywood in 1957 he enjoyed fame in the show “The Detectives” just before he played Batman.

When Adam was asked to consider the role as Batman he replied; “are you serious, I am trying to have a serious career”. Nethertheless, he auditioned for the show, was filmed in the screen test and chosen for the role as Batman, which later became his signature role.
